Professional profile

My formation is in Marine Biology, and my PhD is in Ecology. My research interests are focused in quantitative community ecology, specifically the description of patterns of species diversity of marine-coastal ecosystems at different spatial scales, as well as the identification of processes responsible of those patterns, using correlative analysis and manipulative experiments. I am also interested in aspects of population ecology, as life histories of crabs and echinoderms. I am passionate about experimental design, and the use and applications of statistical methods to assess ecological hypotheses.
